Schedule Change

Due to increasing commitments in other areas, Stuff Geeks Love will not be updating regularly for a while. We will try to have at least one post a week, but please don’t hold us to that.

It’s not for lack of material.

Please add us to your RSS reader of choice so that you don’t miss an update, and thank you for your continued readership.

  2. I disagree, I don’t think Geeks love schedule changes. Stop with these ridiculous entries, and take more time in furture.

  3. Suggestions:

Geeks love logical fallacies, and generally debating for sport in general

Geeks love quibbling over the definition of terms like ‘geek’ and ‘nerd’, often to re-define them in a more ego stroking way.

  4. Geeks love walking away from a project when they find a new one.

  5. Качество друзей тоже надо учитывать. Дональд Трамп, например, на двадцатку потянет.

  6. Неплохо… Огромное спасибо за инфу. Автору респект и уважуха.

  7. Did you die?

  8. I agree with Marinkina and Cederash.

  9. Very interesting… thanks.

  10. Geeks love creating a popular website, (usually a blog) disappearing, monitoring the comments and visits, then when they feel they’ve peaked, returning with an excuse about how they were busy in real life.

  11. Pretty sure this is it. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Thanks for all the amusing posts, I learned a lot about geeks ^^

  12. Obviously you are deceased.

  13. The death of this site makes me really sad. :(

  14. It’s been a full year now since the schedule change. Maybe it’s time to just admit the project has been abandoned.

  15. I just discovered this blog, and I’m sorry to see it’s dead. It was brief, but brilliant. What was said in these posts very much needed to be said, and I hope every self-declared geek at some point reads it.

  16. Was fun while it was.

  17. If ever you come back, you might consider looking at geeks through the lens of Bob Altemayer’s writings on the psychology of right-wing “authoritarian followers”:

Here are some authoritarian follower traits:
-adherence to an authority considered infallible
-blind conformity, groupthink, parroting the accepted views without reflection
-obsession with preserving the status quo
-fear and hostility toward outsiders (e.g. gays, foreigners)
-being sheltered, living in a bubble world separated from those outsiders
    -feelings of self-righteousness and superiority
    -hypocrisy, double standards

  18. Damn sad to have found this two years too late, through tv tropes nonetheless. All true, all funny. Wish more would come.

  19. Just finished reading the site. Thanks for the laughs! Hope your other commitments are treating you well. (I know, for myself, getting married, buying a house, and having kids have really cut down on my hobbies. Not to mention having a job.)

  20. Huh, I wonder how “try to have at least one post a week” turned into “have a one-month resurgence four years later.”
